This unique design consists of 80 cantilevered rods.  Each horizontal rod balances those beneath, creating a sinuous wave form.  When set in motion the wave unfurls in a very organic way and when the rods are aligned, the chain hangs at a pronounced angle seemingly defying gravity.

The design came in a moment of inspiration which led to further experiments with cantilevered chains.  This version remains a key innovation and is the only one at this scale and in this material.
